Reform CEQA Without Losing Protections

Maryann Marino, Regional Director for CALA, wrote a response response to the Orange County Register’s August 24 editorial on reforming the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). Her letter was published on August 29, and this is what she had to say:

CEQA encourages litigation that stymies business development and job creation but offers little or no environmental benefit. The state Legislature has now bungled another opportunity to implement practical and effective reforms to CEQA to stop these abusive lawsuits.

The full letter is posted here.
