Marijuana Co-Op Sues County - to Get Its Pot Back
Friday, 14 August 2009 10:16

Just when you think you've heard it all...a "pot dispensary" in Kern County has filed a lawsuit against the County Sheriff's department demanding its pot back along with money for "distress" allegedly suffered when a law enforcement investigation determined that the medical dispensary wasn't necessarily all that medical.

The sheriff's sting set up a controlled buy of marijuana from an anonymous person who was not qualified to be a customer and the investigation disovered that the dispensary planned to make huge profits on the sale of the pot business. State regulations don't allow that - they are supposed to operate as a nonprofit organization and any excess funds are required to be given to charity.

The worst part of the story? The only ones really getting stung are the taxpayers in Kern County. The pot producers weren't using all of their brain cells when they filed this very frivolous lawsuit.
